His Story
For most of his life, David has been drawn to building things and helping them grow. Businesses. Teams. Community programs. Nonprofits. Systems. People. He spent decades leading in executive environments, developing organizations, coaching others through growth, and helping people move from potential into action.
Alongside that work, he also spent over twenty years in fitness, strength training, and corrective exercise — helping people build stronger bodies, greater resilience, long-term discipline, and improved quality of life.
But over time, he realized something important.
You can be driven and still disconnected. Capable and still wrestling with imposter syndrome. Strong physically, but emotionally crippled. Successful professionally, while struggling to navigate important relationships, spirituality, or physical health.
That realization changed the direction of David's work.
Today, his focus is helping men become more grounded, honest, resilient, disciplined, and fully integrated — not just outwardly successful.
His Approach
David's approach blends leadership experience, behavioral change, theology, relationship dynamics, nervous system awareness, physical discipline, and practical coaching. He's not interested in empty motivation or performative masculinity. He cares about helping men develop the kind of strength that actually sustains a meaningful life.
That means learning how to:
01
Lead without domination
02
Regulate instead of react
03
Communicate clearly
04
Rebuild integrity
05
Humbly take ownership when wrong
06
Demonstrate remorse through concrete change
07
Face conflict directly
08
Reconnect to purpose
09
Strengthen the body
10
Deepen relationships
11
Live with greater alignment between who you are and how you show up
12
As a result, becoming the change that you wish to see in the world around you.
Becoming To Belong
David and his wife, Mindy, work together in counseling and coaching through Becoming to Belong Counseling and Coaching, PLLC — helping individuals and couples navigate healing, communication, attachment wounds, betrayal, identity, and relational growth.
Their work is rooted in a simple belief: real transformation happens when people stop performing and begin living honestly.
Together they bring a rare combination of professional training, personal experience, and relational depth to every client they work with.

At Home
At home, life is full and grounded — and sometimes overwhelming. David and Mindy have three kids, four dogs, three cats, and a life that is both meaningful and imperfect.
David believes growth should translate into real life — not just ideas, insight, or inspiration. The work he asks of his clients is the same work he continues to ask of himself.

Education & Training
At the end of the day, David doesn't believe men need more shame, more hype, or another performance mask.
Most men need honest conversations, practical tools, meaningful challenge, and the courage to become fully present in their own lives.
